[Yuki, being a student at Duel Academy, has heard rumors. Rumors about a genius engineer, who came in and beat up one of the shitty teachers in the elementary division. (The rumors may have gotten blown out of proportion.) But at least, the rumors did specify the guy was a wizard with machines. And following the rumors, Yuki has arrived at the garage of... a clock shop? Poppo Time? What the hell.
Fortunately, when your kayfabe relies on being a ghost, you get good at moving silently. So it's probably surprising for Yusei, when he's working on his D-Wheel, the D-Wheel's voice speaks up. If he's paying attention, he might be able to tell it's coming from behind him, not the D-Wheel. Or he might think the D-Wheel is talking to him. Would that really be the weirdest thing that's happened to him?]
[Yuki might have noticed, but something seems odd about the sky right now. Actually something seems odd about a lot of things. People have vanished. There are a few wandering around, but trying to look clearly at them is...not working. Like they're not really People, their faces never quite clear enough to be memorable.
Totally fine. Don't worry about it.
What is perhaps worrying is what's happening about 30 or so feet off. A lot of Neo Domino is white- and someone, having woken up here instead of in the woods he'd been wandering not long ago, is having a blast. It's obviously not the labs after all. This isn't him waking from some impossible dream, he's definitely escaped. He's sure. Case in point he got here through a portal!
And boy! it's fun to be able to do this for reasons that aren't testing.
Eventually he'll land- somehow. Impossibly, on his feet. Scratching his head and looking around, the blond doesn't quite notice Yuki just yet though.]
[One thing he didn't expect- people. Rather than with anything typical, Kaito reacts to the waving with shock- the minute it catches his eye he stiffens, portal gun lifted as some feeble defense while he stares. Of course, if nothing really happens to make him think anything is about to hurt him then he'll lower it a bit...
But for now, woah. He...honestly hasn't seen anyone other than a scientist for as long as he can remember (which admittedly isn't long), but those aren't lab clothes, and???
[What is that thing? it's got... claws. And a barrel. He's holding it like a weapon.
She goes stock still, and then... Flicks her wrist. A holographic keyboard appears in front of her- She knows sign language, of course, but almost no one else does, so why bother trying?]
[Frankly, he's keeping his distance. Even goes one step away when the keyboard goes up actually- flinching openly and eyeing it warily. And...Uh...
...What's he doing? This is all there is. There is nothing more, all he's doing is standing here. What are you doing, is what he'd like to say, but he certainly can't say it can he? Slowly though, he does start to lower the gun- notably tied crudely to his arm with some worn cable.]
[What! No! Why should he listen? He doesn't want to sit down. Frankly, he has no idea what'll happen if he sits down. What if someone does something. Or appears. Or, or, or-
....
he is...slowly....lowering himself to the ground...
If there was a bench, he sure didn't think of it.]
[Well they aren't! They're not broken at all, and-
This is odd. He's so wrapped up in protest that he's even mouthing the protest, as if he could speak at all. 'They're not!', on repeat, but not a single sound- even from his breath- escapes him.]
::So, Yuki, you find yourself looking up for some reason, and for better or worse, there seems to be someone in the middle of a mid-air sky dive chase heading for your school. And possible in your general direction.::
[Jack is, very frankly, not used to being Seen. He doesn't expect to be seen, and he never is, so he just sort of goes around doing his business. So, late at night when the chill starts setting in along the streets, Jack makes his rounds the same way he always does.
Except now, there's a bridge too.
Good thing, he supposes, as he's gotten pretty fast at leaving firelights around Satellite- and ultimately that means there's not a whole lot for him to do. So!
Hit the lowest streets first, and work his way up. The people at the bottom need a bit of fire more than anyone else, and while plenty are normally confused, he figures they'll get over it. The boy in the coat flies- flails almost- through the air, lantern staff casually over his shoulder as he goes.
Eventually- eventually- he'll probably hit the buildings near Yuki's area. It's a simple process. Zoom about, slip some small flames in- they don't burn. They never burn- they give off heat, a sense of safety and protection, and that's it. The wisps are visible. He....
[Yuki, despite her... everything, is surprisingly rational-minded. Though she plays the part of a ghost, she doesn't really believe in them. But on the other hand, she does know... almost all about the folklore and myths that she needs to sell her gimmick.
So when she sees these floating flames, she just... takes a moment. First, she rubs her eyes, of course. Then she reaches out- Not to touch the flame, she's not crazy, but she is at least going to see if they're warm.
They look like will-o-wisps, of course. But... Obviously, those aren't real. Saint Elmo's Fire? Maybe?]
[They sure are warm. Normally Jack just lets people figure it out for themselves at this point honestly, but something about the way Yuki is looking at it tells him that things aren't quite working here.]
Oi... what's your deal..?
[Unheard, he floats nearby, a cloud of heat following around him. If there's frost on the ground, it even melts.
Jack tries adding another wisp to the one Yuki is feeling around. Maybe another is fine, whatever.]
What's the point of that...! What are you planning to duel, air?
[Jack snorts, but then to add insult to injury grins and floats the flames over the disk, letting them dance around in a circle.] HAH! See how your duel disk stops me..!
[Is she like Aki or something??? This feels like with Aki-
Well, he recovers from the surprise plenty quick regardless, scoffing.] Keh! You have nothing on Jack Frost though! If you think I can't handle some ice, you're in for a real surprise..!
[Jack, grinning widely, bolsters the little flames more- now bouncing up and down in a taunt.]
["Like Aki" is a very complicated question. Unlike Aki, Yuki can't use her powers at will. Rather, it only works when Yuki is extremely negative- In this case, paranoid, angry, afraid- Terrified of this feeling of 'safety'.
She doesn't like it. Letting her guard down is fatal. It always is.
She throws two more cards down- Yuki-Onna the Ice Mayakashi, and Yuki-Musume.
[Rather unfortunately, Jack has a pretty good reason to not let it get too cold, and the reason is 'he enjoys living'. So as things get colder, he starts getting angrier.]
OIII OIII...! KNOCK IT OFF! Just because you don't like it being warmer doesn't mean you get to freeze everything..!
[There's indeed a chill, but not around the spot, or the immediate area of the flames- for that matter they're not really jumping excitedly anymore- they're flaring up.
As is the originally 'empty', and more people sized spot not too many feet in front of her.]
The problem, of course, is... Yuki isn't wearing her motion overlay on her fingers. Which means controlling her monsters beyond what she's already doing is... not happening.
Instead, a screen pops up by her- Not a keyboard, this one is more a list of a few predetermined options. She swipes a few options away, before tapping one.]
for yusei @ alphudo

But she's thinking it, very very hard.
She approaches Kaito, waving her arms to get his attention.]

oKAYYYYY-! He's already jerking his legs back, no, you can't touch those, those are his boots, he needs those..!!]

Stop that, idiot. Your legs have to be broken after that.

Why?
Absolutely why the fuck.
Yuki has to take a moment to stare, process what she's seeing. She's at Duel Academy, so this isn't even the weirdest thing she's ever seen, she just.
Watches.
... And finally decides to just turn around and walk the other way.
Absolutely not. She's not dealing with this shit today.]
